Nikki Glaser Reveals She Spent Nearly $100K on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour: ‘Worth Every Penny’

The comedian opens up about her extravagant Taylor Swift fandom, defending her $100K spending spree as a joyful alternative to raising kids.

The comedian justifies her lavish expenses, calling it a heartfelt investment in joy and fandom.

Nikki Glaser, a devoted Taylor Swift fan, recently shared her extraordinary dedication to the pop icon during an interview with PEOPLE. The comedian revealed she spent nearly $100,000 attending Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour, which spanned 632 days and 149 shows across the globe. Glaser attended 22 performances over the past two years, with her expenditures covering tickets, travel, accommodations, and merchandise.

“I want to be clear that we’re including travel expenses, hotels, and me also flying and putting up everyone that I would invite to go with me, plus tickets, plus merch,” Glaser explained. Despite the hefty price tag, she remains unapologetic. “It was all well worth it. I would’ve paid even more.”

The Eras Tour, which concluded this month, became a cultural and financial phenomenon, raking in a historic $2 billion in total sales. Swift’s electrifying performances featured a comprehensive setlist from her 11-album discography, thrilling fans during three-hour shows in 51 cities worldwide.

For Glaser, the tour wasn’t just about the music—it was a reflection of her personal choices and priorities. “I justify that cost because I don’t have kids,” she shared candidly. “In order for me to make myself feel better about the decision, I did look up how much it costs to raise a kid. And so once I saw that number, I thought, ‘It’s no problem for me to spend this on Taylor Swift.’”

Defending Fandom

Glaser also addressed criticisms often directed at die-hard fans who follow Swift on tour, dismissing them as baseless envy. “People who give you crap about it, they are just jealous,” she said. “No one ever shames anyone for having kids and says, ‘Oh, what a waste of money.’ But for some reason, when I go to 22 Taylor Swift shows, it’s like, ‘You’re so privileged.’”

With a touch of humor, she added, “It’s like, ‘Was I supposed to invite you? I don’t know you, ma’am.’”

A Comedian and Swiftie at Heart

Glaser, known for her sharp wit and dynamic career in comedy, has made a name for herself in stand-up, TV, and celebrity roasts. She was recently announced as the host of the upcoming Golden Globes ceremony, a role she’s particularly excited about because of the possibility of Swift’s attendance.

“If she’s there, I can guarantee that there will be no jokes made at her expense,” Glaser assured. “Taylor, if you’re reading this, you can just enjoy your night and not have to worry if anything’s going to be said about you. You can sit on the stage next to me.”

For Nikki Glaser, being a Swiftie is more than a hobby—it’s a testament to the joy and connection music can bring. “It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” she concluded. “And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
