Grimes is urgently calling on her ex-partner Elon Musk to address a serious “medical crisis” involving their child. In a series of since-deleted posts on the social media platform X, the 36-year-old singer-songwriter, who shares three children with Musk, pleaded with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO to respond to her concerns.
“I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention,” Grimes wrote in one of her posts, asking Musk to “please respond” about their child’s health emergency. She did not specify the nature of the medical issue, but her messages suggested it was urgent and required Musk’s involvement to prevent long-term consequences for their child.
Grimes continued, expressing frustration at Musk’s lack of response despite her efforts to reach him through more private channels. “If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon,” she urged, emphasizing the critical nature of the situation.
In a follow-up post, Grimes explained her decision to go public, citing Musk’s continued silence. “I’m not giving any details but he won’t respond to texts, calls, or emails and has skipped every meeting. Our child will suffer life-long impairment if he doesn’t respond ASAP,” she wrote. “So I need him to f—— respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we’re at.”
Grimes’ emotional plea comes as the couple, who broke up in 2022 after an on-and-off relationship that began in 2018, co-parents their three children: X Æ A-Xii, 4; Exa Dark Sideræl, 3; and Techno Mechanicus, 2. It remains unclear which child Grimes was referring to in her posts.
Amid her growing frustration, Grimes responded to an X user who suggested that public pressure might make the situation worse, reinforcing her position. “If I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we’re at,” she said, emphasizing her desperation for Musk’s engagement on the matter.

Grimes’ public calls for attention on X come amid speculation about Musk’s personal life. A week prior, author Ashley St. Clair claimed she had welcomed a child with Musk, marking the billionaire’s 13th child. As of now, Musk has not publicly responded to Grimes’ most recent pleas.
