The sports broadcaster opens up on her podcast about the newly-engaged couple’s magnetic chemistry and why their love inspires her own relationship
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are basking in the glow of their engagement — and their love is impossible to miss.
Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews couldn’t help but share her admiration for the couple’s constant affection during an episode of her iHeartRadio podcast, Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, released on Thursday, August 21.
“When they’re around each other, they’re always kissing. They’re always touching. You saw it on the podcast,” Andrews, 47, said, referring to Swift’s recent appearance on Kelce’s New Heights podcast. “After hanging out with them, we’re like, ‘Wait! We’re not making out as much as we should’!” she added with a laugh.
Swift, 34, and Kelce, 35, announced their engagement on August 26 in a joint Instagram post, just weeks after the Grammy winner made her podcast debut opposite Kelce and his brother Jason. During the two-hour-plus New Heights episode released on August 13, the couple offered fans a candid glimpse into their relationship, holding hands, sharing smiles, and sprinkling in sweet PDA throughout the conversation.
“They’re obsessed with each other,” added Andrews’ cohost Charissa Thompson, 43. “Every time I leave them, I look at Steven [Cundari, her partner] and go, ‘You need to love me more’!”
Andrews said the couple’s open affection serves as “a good reminder” to bring more intentional romance into her own marriage, where the pace of life often feels like “let’s go, let’s go, let’s go.”
The broadcasters have witnessed Swift and Kelce’s bond up close, even joining the couple on a snowy vacation to Montana earlier this year — a trip that made headlines when Kelce shared a now-viral Instagram carousel that included Swift for the first time.
Their friendship with the couple has also made both women fiercely protective of Swift and Kelce’s privacy. “We’re so protective of them and their privacy and what they deserve,” Andrews explained. “That’s why we never said anything or planned on saying anything.”
Still, Thompson couldn’t help but gush: “Taylor is everything I’d ever hoped and dreamed that she could have been and more.”
