The media firebrand mocks Bezos’ appearance and criticizes the billionaire’s $50 million Venice wedding for prioritizing celebrity over sincerity, amid protests from local Venetians.
In her signature no-holds-barred style, Megyn Kelly has taken aim at Jeff Bezos—specifically his wedding attire, guest list, and the billion-dollar persona behind it all.
The former Fox News anchor and SiriusXM host didn’t mince words while discussing the Amazon founder’s high-profile wedding to Lauren Sánchez in Venice, Italy. During a recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, she echoed a biting observation first made by Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan, who described Bezos as looking like “a walking penis.”
“He does look like a walking penis,” Kelly agreed, after showing side-by-side images of Bezos during his early Amazon days compared to his ultra-polished 2025 wedding appearance. “I venture to say some other things have happened there to make him look like that… it does give penis vibes. I’m not gonna lie—it’s not a good look for him.”

The comments weren’t limited to Bezos’ appearance. Kelly also blasted the celebrity-packed guest list for the $50 million, three-day affair, which drew a who’s who of the A-list world including Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Mick Jagger, and Orlando Bloom.
“Because that’s what you do when you are Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez,” she said sarcastically. “You invite only your close friends. You make sure it’s not about dear friends who love you—no, it’s about a star-studded event.”
Kelly, known for her sharp critiques of elite culture, suggested the wedding was more about optics than intimacy. “What matters to them is that it’s a star-studded event, not that they have dear friends standing up for them when they take a sacred vow,” she added.
Outside the opulent celebration, discontent simmered among local Venetians. Protesters gathered across the historic city, hoisting banners with messages such as “No Space for Bezos” and “If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax.” The slogans referenced both Bezos’ space company, Blue Origin, and mounting frustrations over corporate influence, overtourism, and tax avoidance.
The backlash, both on-air and on the ground, highlights the growing scrutiny facing tech billionaires and their public spectacles. For many, the criticism wasn’t about love or personal happiness—it was about excess, performance, and tone-deaf extravagance.
While Bezos and Sánchez tied the knot in what was arguably one of the year’s most extravagant celebrity weddings, the reactions have proven that not everyone is celebrating.
As for Megyn Kelly? She’s made it clear: a good tailor and an elite guest list don’t impress her nearly as much as substance—and sincerity.
